RIGA JAZZ STAGE 2017 Finale

On the 3^rd round of International Jazz Artist Contest – Finale – only highly appreciated and talented artists from all over the world will continue their race on the stage.

Twelve young jazz talents in both categories of Jazz Vocal and Jazz Guitar will perform under the spotlights.

Riga Jazz Stage is a unique annual event taking place in Riga, Latvia. It brings together jazz stars-to-be from all around the globe, which gives an opportunity for the audience to experience both the atmosphere of competition and elegance of jazz in yet unheard improvisations. This is a great opportunity for young jazz musicians to get in to the spotlight, discover own talents and present themselves at the international level.

Ever since the contest was founded in 2004 more than 160 musicians from 23 countries has been participating in it! Many of contestants have continued their journey to the world of jazz music, and became popular musicians.

In 2016 contests’ Grand Prix in category Jazz Vocal went to Erik Leuthäuser (Germany), but Jazz Trombone category winner has been Robinson Khoury from France.
