Michael Kaeshammer is a Canadian pianist, singer, songwriter and producer not restricted by any genre or direction of the music industry. He walks his own path, and is a muse of inspiration for himself, as well as the strictest critic, creating music that will, above all, stimulate and satisfy his own high demands for music. Thanks to his talent, developed over the years, the music created by Michael is melodically rich and easy to perceive for listeners.

In his career of 20 years, Michael has earned not only the love of the audience, but also the approval of the critics, and has been nominated several times – seven times for the Juno Prize, five times for the Western Canadian Music Awards (in four of which he has also received the award), as well as has been nominated for many other awards.

In his 12th album “Something New” Michael has captured the most beautiful and sharp memories of his musical journey, creating 10 original compositions that include not only global themes such as love, the meaning of life, travel and politics, but has also invited his colleagues to collaborate for additional musical resonance in vocal and instrumental areas, also working with Chuck Leavell, the keyboardist of the American rock band The Rolling Stones.

This year the internationally acclaimed Michael Kaeshammer goes on a world tour with accompanying musicians, also visiting Latvia to showcase his talents and to perform to the Latvian audience with an unprecedented jazz show. The versatile Canadian artist creates an intimate and inviting atmosphere in his concerts, where any listener will find an interesting angle.

In the music created by Michael one can hear passion for his work, as well as an extraordinary richness of good sounding music, that straddles the boundaries of jazz, blues, boogie-woogie and limits of pedantic detail. Michael Kaeshammer is not afraid to aim high and to use different spheres of influence, guiding his listeners on ever-further, unforgettable musical journeys of sound.
